After the Attack
The matter-of-fact analysis of a potential nuclear terrorist attack on the US ("After The Attack" 3/26/08), focusing on the need for updated forensic techniques to track down the perpetrators, leaves several important things unsaid. If the destruction of the Twin Towers and loss of 3000 lives caused so much disruption to our entire economy, what would the replacement of a city by a radioactive crater do? That is not even to mention the possibility that we might be the ones vaporized! Actually, the potential for disaster on so many fronts ought to remind us that there is no ultimate security in human schemes, no matter how sophisticated, and to remind us of our need to turn our eyes towards God.
