Victim of Sex Ed
"Sexuality and taboos: What we don't know can hurt" (Commentary, March 30) misses the whole point. Sex education would not have helped an 8-year-old pregnant girl.
She was victimized, probably by someone who had been taught, as most schools teach, that all sexual impulses are OK and are also irresistible. The perpetrator probably would contend that she consented. He may even have used a condom, which failed as they frequently do.
