In "The Hand of Death," (February 12) a caption reads, "anxious mothers... believe that if their daughters remain virgins, they won't get AIDS." (p.44)

"Believe?!" Can you not recognize a simple TRUTH? Africa may have a serious behavior problem, but America has all of that plus a mental block on the connection between morality and morbidity.
