FREEDOM
The freedom in self-acceptance
based on God’s acceptance of me
leads to the ability to rise above
the insults and hurts
to love as God loves
and be used to bring His love
to the world around me.
I can let go
of the behavior patterns
I used to protect me
because God is already protecting me.
Therefore, I can come out of my hiding place
and run free
singing a song of victory
as the Lord shows me
what He has next for me to do!
Each little piece, each little pattern
I release
as God is lifting me up and out
of the dark valley of insecurity
and showing me the beauty
of the horizon of a life worth living
that glorifies Him
as He helps me to bring good news
to set the captives free.
